Fiona Buining’s Churchill Fellowship Journey 2022

I was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2020 to investigate urban farm ventures that provide vocational pathways for aspiring food growers. Departing on the 5th of July, I will be travelling to Canada, The USA, The UK and the Netherlands. I have planned one-week immersive experiences at farm training centres in each country. I will also be visiting organic small-scale farms, farm incubators and relevant industries.
On return, based on my research overseas, my vision is to set up a soil based outdoor urban farm incubator and training program here in Australia.
